As a songwriter no doubt anyone will relate to Conni Laine's lyrics. She is as deep with emotion as she is with passion and one cannot but help feel it as it pours from her soul. Conni doesn’t just sing, she performs and she writes more than heartfelt love songs. She is a woman of strength and drive and she will move you with her melodies into feeling your own with songs like Believe in your Dreams, Do You Feel the Love or House on a Hill . Before moving to the South’s Golden Isles, Conni resided in Cleveland Georgia to be close to her Mom. It was her mother Betty who encouraged her to play out beginning a 10-year solo career performing music around Atlanta, North Georgia some Fla, and NC. Playing showcases, open mics, and charities
During this time is where the songwriting of Dreamer's Lane, Love's a Beautiful Thing and What's a Girl to do caught the attention of Jimmy Johnson, Muscle Shoals producer with whom she recorded a 9-song CD of original works by Conni and a few top award-winning songwriters backed by some of Alabama’s famous and finest Muscle Shoals Swampers.
